censoring comments...
So, how/when/why should bloggers censor comments?
What should the guidlines for deleting comments be?
I invite your comments.
(If they're off-topic, I'll delete them.)
The keyboard is mightier than the machine gun... The political, philosophical and general outpourings of a troubled soul living in Australia and blogging his Vietnam veteran's head off.
Nothing in this blog can be believed. If you think that anything in this blog is true or factual, you'll need to verify it from another source. Do you understand? No? Then read it again, and repeat this process, until you understand that you cannot sue me for anything you read here. Also, having been sucked into taking part in the mass-murder of more than 3 million Vietnamese people on behalf of U.S. Big Business "interests", I'm as mad as a cut snake (and broke) so it might be a bit silly to try to sue me anyway...
4 Comments:
Davo, sadly (and it rips my heart out), I had to delete your comment for being off topic.
To assist you in future attempts at making on-topic comments, the topics are:
(1) "Should there be comment censoring?
And if "yes" to (1), then:
(2) What should the guidlines for censorship be?
Good luck...
Alles klaar, Herr Kommissar?
always deleted comment spam...don't even consider it properly in the comments category.
personal information that exposes people or rips their privacy tends to get my axe.
It's up to the blog owner but personal and degrading insults to the owner or another commenter should be deleted with an explanation of why.
In other words trolling not welcome here.
Disagreement with a posting is okay but not abuse. I agree with GreenSmile about personal information being used.
Well, delete the spam, and if you're having a bad day, just delete stuff randomly.
