oops, I've lost my balance...

It's been pointed out that I'm presenting an unbalanced outlook. Well, I am unbalanced. Along with a whole lot of people, 9/11 and the U.S. killing spree that followed has unbalanced me. However, it's been said I was unbalanced before that, so let's say I'm now even more unbalanced. What's a poor little platypus to do?

I see globalisation as a huge evil money machine that will in the end create a very small elite of super-rich who will be serviced by a middle class mesmerised by consumerism, Big Media and religion whilst billions will be left destitute and without voice. And this unstoppable machine will strip the planet bare of resources and pollute it terminally. I see US-controlled institutions as the main architects of globalisation. And they'll call it "economics driven democracy".

I see the "war on terror" as a monstrous deception waged to disguise US intimidation of the globe whilst it installs globalisation. And Israel has jumped on that bandwagon to crank up its war crimes in Palestine. Yes, Islam has gone mad, but decades of Western interference, meddling and exploitation had driven them close to the brink, and now globalisation presents them with an upcoming fait accompli they find utterly unacceptable.

I assert there would be very little Islamic/Palestinian terrorism if the Israelis pulled out of Gaza and the West Bank and if the US got out of Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Afghanistan and anywhere else where they are unwelcome. But that's just not going to happen. Nor is it going to happen that those who are dominated, subjugated and terrorised by these two "democracies" will desist from staging "terrorist" reprisals. Dialogue will not be seen as an option.

"Anti-terrorism" laws will be written and used to silence dissent against the U.S., Israel, globalisation, and anything else which The Machine feels threatened by. We will be told we are "inciting hatred or insurrection", "giving comfort to the enemy" or that mass demonstrations are too much of a "security risk". Welcome to the end of democracy.

And you think your vote will be allowed to change this? Dream on, suckers! I'm cynical and depressed. But here's the question: Am I cynical and depressed because of what I see, or do I see it that way because I'm cynical and depressed? More Prozac, anyone?

Well, Ariks, is one automatically a Nazi if one points out the blatantly obvious racism present in the teachings of _some_ rabidly extreme forms of Zionism? You apparently fail to see that it is _their_ teaching that is not far removed from Hitler's attitudes towards race. And you call _me_ a Nazi? Have you got any rational comments to make or is frothing at the mouth the best you can do?

Read Israel Shahak's works for starters. Then do a Google search on "jews against zionism" and read what many Jewish rabbis have to say. In case you haven't understood what I've said, I accept and support the existence of an Israel bounded by the Green Line. So in that sense I'm not anti-Zionist.

Logic dictates that you've got to get your murdering, land-thieving friends out of Gaza and the West Bank _before_ you can realistically expect any decline in "terrorism" being waged against Israelis. And if you think it will stop when you kill Arafat you don't understand the first thing about what motivates a Palestinian suicide bomber. Sounds to me like militant Zionists have a death wish. They provoke, in the extreme, people to kill them and when they do they scream bloody murder. Don't you think that's a bit hypocritical (and suicidal), Ariks?

By the way, I have as much distaste for neo-Nazis and other racist groups as I have for those Zionists who hold racist views. I have a distaste for all forms of racism.

That's a valid comment Zev, so I thought I'd make the issue a new blog item:

I notice Zev didn't leave any comments in my article titled "Understanding Zionism Pt1" in which I use quotes from Jewish writers referring to the "chosen people" issue.

Perhaps Zev's disappointment regarding any ignorance on my part should be taken up with them, and maybe they can give him answers. If after familiarising himself with the works of these writers Zev (or anyone else) would like to publish a brief article in this blog (perhaps with links back to other sources) refuting these writers' statements, I would have no problem with that. After all, I do want this blog to be interactive and open.

So you've now got three ways to interact: Comments (public), email (private), and now also the opportunity to submit your own articles (via email) to this blog.

So go for it, people, give your views on how the "chosen people" issue should be seen.

So, on Ground Zero, as the Americans have labelled it, we now have the unveiling of plans to build an even taller building. In fact, THE WORLD'S TALLEST BUILDING!!!!
Why does that look to me like a testosterone-charged ambition? Why does that look to me like an invitation to al Qaeda to have a go?

I look at it this way: The U.S. will have about two years to build this phallic symbol.
Al Qaeda will have about two years to plan how to enlimp this U.S. erection. If I was a gambler I wouldn't be putting my money on the U.S. And I'd never feel comfortable being up in that building.

I guess they'll take me to Guantanamo Bay now...
