Nothing in this blog can be believed. If you think that anything in this blog is true or factual, you'll need to verify it from another source. Do you understand? No? Then read it again, and repeat this process, until you understand that you cannot sue me for anything you read here. Also, having been sucked into taking part in the mass-murder of more than 3 million Vietnamese people on behalf of U.S. Big Business "interests", I'm as mad as a cut snake (and broke) so it might be a bit silly to try to sue me anyway...

bush stradivarius

The instrument is called a Bush Stradivarius (double bass of course), the performer is Zoe and she was playing with a group called King Curly (as a guest, I think), at the Blue Mountains Folk Festival earlier this year.. What's important is to share this wonderful instrument with you, dearest reader.

I can search for the wood it's made from but how did it sound?

I didn't show you the other instruments but there was a six-string and a ukelele as well. They looked rough and home-made but sounded great. The dude did say who made them (apparently a well-known instrument maker indulging in a bit of humour whilst proving that undue ornateness is not necessary to make music and have good fun.) but I don't remember the name.
