Nothing in this blog can be believed. If you think that anything in this blog is true or factual, you'll need to verify it from another source. Do you understand? No? Then read it again, and repeat this process, until you understand that you cannot sue me for anything you read here. Also, having been sucked into taking part in the mass-murder of more than 3 million Vietnamese people on behalf of U.S. Big Business "interests", I'm as mad as a cut snake (and broke) so it might be a bit silly to try to sue me anyway...

people are dying every day...

I've just finished watching The Quiet American (Michael Caine) on TV. Again. The line that hit me like a ton of bricks was: "There's a war on. People are dying every day."

Like that somehow makes deaths in war unimportant. Inconsequential. Expected even. A mere detail... Without ever questioning the evil that war is... Or the evil of those who commit us to war... Especially when they're clearly economics driven ones. Mass murder in the interests of our economy?

Get f*cked, Bush! Get f*cked, Blair! Get f*cked, Howard!

Sedition? I think it's a GREAT idea... An idea whose time has come...

Australia, RISE UP !!!! (Or spend the rest of eternity on your knees...)

I've just been reading about landmines.
When the wars are over the people will still be dying.

Land mines are evil things. And their modern cousin, the cluster bombs, are even more evil. Talk about delilberately murdering non-combatants in great numbers.

It ought to be a war crime to deploy them. Ditto depleted uranium ammunition.

I remember reading about the Honeywell Corp. making a bomb for Vietnam which when exploded threw hundreds of plastic needles into the body. The plastic couldn't be seen in X-rays and the bombs were left lying around for non-combatents to pick up. I don't know if it was true but I never willingly bought anything made by Honeywell ever again.

I think you're talking about flechettes munitions. The needles are actually made of steel. They're still using them nowadays and they even have some which are made out of depeted uranium (DU).

How is it possible not to find yourself reflecting, on occasion, as to what a waste of space the human race is?

Armaniac, I am Diogenes the Cycnic, am I not? Show me an honest man... HoWARd is not one... Blair is not one... Bush would be hard pressed to spell "honest".

I no longer give a f*ck what happens to me. I've lost all respect for this mob of whores servicing their clients, the robber barons.

If they ever apply their foul laws to me I will never rest until they are brought down upon their knees..

Sedition? You f*cking bet!!!

Too F*ing right!

Meanwhile Gerry, there's this tree you might wanna jump around with me.

Sad to hear of the troubles in Sidney, it was on the news here.

MD, jump around a tree with you? Is that an indecent suggestion? Far too cryptic for my small brain...

The troubles in Sydney (note spelling ;-) have been brewing and festering for years. The carbuncle has burst... I'll be doing a post on it and we can discuss it there.

Indecent yourself!

I think you'll find we are all naked in cyberspace or clothed, how we wish to be by our imagimations, if you've found a way to get clothes through I'd be glad to know because I believe one of the Mother Damnables has called for a whip and thigh boots :>)

Yep I noticed how close to the road the Oak is, I grew up there remember, actually I like it, it means when coming home from a night out we all get to look out for fairy folk.

No Gerry, I'd rather imagine you in your prime, Polka (ing) around the tree!

The road is closed for one day a year to prevent the road becoming a highway, perhaps on that day :>)

Blessed Be me old Mucca.

Ron, I so agree with you, one of the many benefits of having Gay Friends is to gain an insight into manliness.

I have just noticed that I posted this post about "rising up" on the same day as the Sydney race riots occurred. So it's interesting that the Patriotic Front For White Australia chose to express it's urge to "stand up", at the same time as I was urging the more rational, the more moderate, the more thoughtful in the Australian community to RISE UP against the very regime for which these hooligans would no doubt unanimously vote. And the leader of this regime interestingly refuses to condemn the blatantly racist, white supremacist tone that this protest had adopted. In fact he denies it was present. Very interesting...
And f*cking alarming!

Note: Those who have read this blog in sufficient detail will know that I am absolutely committed to the idea that civil disobedience and protest MUST be non-violent. It must be passive resistence in its purest sense of the term. It must strictly conform to the teachings of Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr, and Cesar Chavez. It must not be allowed to be taken over and derailed by hot-heads (so, I'm out of the running for any leadership role, eh. But we knew that. :-)

Gerry, I thought you might be interested to read what the BBC write about the race riots in Sydney.
