Nothing in this blog can be believed. If you think that anything in this blog is true or factual, you'll need to verify it from another source. Do you understand? No? Then read it again, and repeat this process, until you understand that you cannot sue me for anything you read here. Also, having been sucked into taking part in the mass-murder of more than 3 million Vietnamese people on behalf of U.S. Big Business "interests", I'm as mad as a cut snake (and broke) so it might be a bit silly to try to sue me anyway...

question #8...

Is a culture a belief system?

A "culture" is really nothing more than a stage of civilization. A culture can be based on or provide an ever-changing belief system, but the two are separate notions in my mind.

There are many cultures on this planet. I think each one is a beliefs/values system.

The term "civilisation" is, I think, a propaganda term
in the way it's mostly used. It's loaded with cultural value judgements. Another term in this ilk is "progress". I can almost hear the thin ice cracking when I hear a skater use these terms... :-)

Again, I agree with you totally here, but recognize that we're getting into an area that would take VOLUMES to try to explain to anyone who has never given it a thought in their lives.
