newspeak #2
Unspun, this reads something like "...we'd rather incur and inflict an endless string of deaths and injuries than review our toxic foreign policy..."
The keyboard is mightier than the machine gun... The political, philosophical and general outpourings of a troubled soul living in Australia and blogging his Vietnam veteran's head off.
Nothing in this blog can be believed. If you think that anything in this blog is true or factual, you'll need to verify it from another source. Do you understand? No? Then read it again, and repeat this process, until you understand that you cannot sue me for anything you read here. Also, having been sucked into taking part in the mass-murder of more than 3 million Vietnamese people on behalf of U.S. Big Business "interests", I'm as mad as a cut snake (and broke) so it might be a bit silly to try to sue me anyway...

Seems you've read 1984.
Regarding the post you removed... what have those guys got against you?

I killed the preveious comment I made because it contained hopeless spelling errors. Sorry.
Now, RH, to reply.. again.. 1984, Animal Farm, yep. In the 1960's some of us more brainwashed souls, with a bit of help from our "education" systems, were led to believe Orwell was talking about the Soviets. Now it seems to describe more accurately what the U.S. has been up to since the late 19th century, especially since the 1940's.
As to the post I removed, email me if you want the information.
Quite right. I wonder what Orwell was really thinking about...
There are probably quite a few literary-type persons who have written long dissertations on exactly that subject and should make for good reading.
I'm confused. You mention our "toxic foreign policy" but the Islamic extremists that attack us do so for religious reasons. Or am I wrong?
Read my post titled "the gospel according to osama"
and take it from there.
