In the previous article, I introduced you to the Archbishop of Sydney, Cardinal Pell.
Well, in this article, I shall honour him with the Diogenesian Discourse's Archidiot of the Year Award.
Why?
Pell is reported as having the view that the way to deal with climate change is to make more babies.
This gem of "wisdom" flies in the face of overwhelming evidence that the biggest single problem facing humanity right fucking (pardon the pun) now is the size of the global population. But Pell, as we have seen, is not big on evidence-based reasoning.
"No western country is producing enough babies to keep the population stable" he is quoted as saying in The Australian.

The good cardinal is suffering from rational thought deprivation syndrome.

I can't believe that this guy is the head of the largest Catholic congregation in Australia. Inconceivable!
Agreed. However, in this case I don't believe it was him doing the conceiving.
On the other hand, I understand that letting it spill on the ground is verboten also.

I suppose condoms are out of the question too...
This is such hypocrisy when the Church discourages condom use which is contributing to the AIDS epidemic which is killing thousands in Africa. But I suppose he's referring to enough white babies.

Oh, yes, JahTeh, you can BET he was referring to white babies... And given his obvious blind spot about how to deal with sexual misconduct by the clergy, I'm not sure that he's a non-fucking priest. What can one be sure of when it comes to that bunch of pontificating hypocrites?
And what a weird propaganda event WYD is... Fancy so many young people being sucked in like that...
Then again, as a young person, I was totally sucked in by the anti-communist propaganda of the fifties/sixties. So much so, I went and killed a few in order to "defend our way of life". Now I wouldn't piss on it.
And the God-botherers were right there blessing us "all the way with LBJ" (a serious God-botherer himself). Remember, much of anti-communism was/is driven by God-botherers.
