Nothing in this blog can be believed. If you think that anything in this blog is true or factual, you'll need to verify it from another source. Do you understand? No? Then read it again, and repeat this process, until you understand that you cannot sue me for anything you read here. Also, having been sucked into taking part in the mass-murder of more than 3 million Vietnamese people on behalf of U.S. Big Business "interests", I'm as mad as a cut snake (and broke) so it might be a bit silly to try to sue me anyway...

margaret hassan...

They say that hostage Margaret Hassan has been shot by her captors. The world's gone nuts.

My message to all insurgents in Iraq: You're not freedom fighters if you murder and execute innocent people. Stop the hostage taking. Stop the indiscriminant bombings. You are no better than the the Americans.

My message to the Americans: They're still nowhere near as murderous as you bastards! Yankees Go Home !!!

Margaret Hassan, I hope the news reports are just bad mistakes and that you come out of this alive and well.

Update: It's pretty much confirmed now that Margaret Hassan is dead. Rest in peace, Margaret. Those who killed her have discredited their cause.

I think the kidnappers are nothing to do with the majority of Iraqis fighting the American and British troops. Unfortunately, as anti-US/UK opinion grows, I fear it's only a matter of time before ordinary Iraqis stop being horrified by such crimes and start thinking "by any means necessary". Scary thought.

Your blog's a great read, and it's especially interesting to hear the war views of current or former armed forces.

Urban Fox, I agree with your comment. And thanks for the compliment. As to my past as a soldier, I only found out what was really going on when I started reading some serious books. Now I'm so angry at the way we're being lied-to, misled, and literally brainwashed by our "democracies" that were it not for the fact I have sworn never to kill again (no matter what) I would most likely be joining some group, any group, that is taking these bastards on. I can really understand where they are at. But they wouldn't need to resort to violence if there were enough of us Ghandiesque pacifists marching in the streets and engaging in peaceful civil disobedience.

I want to see so many mass demonstrations right around the world that the American people finally wake up and smell the stench of their own excrement wafting back over them from all over the globe. I cannot believe their absolute refusal to inform themselves adequately (excluding you, Jeff:-)

I'll start the ball rolling: "YANKEE GO HOME !!"

There are no reports it wasn't her, I hope so. Violence on both sides is not doing any good. The US provoked this divide between the west and middle east with their racist policy. The world is fucked and it is up to the left to 'unfuck' it

Agreed, Ben, but first the left has to get elected. That may require a bit of a public education effort. By the way, I think your blog is great. Don't get misled by the hotheads in some of those left factions or you might end up crossing some moral boundaries you'll later on regret having crossed. I guess I'm saying "please be a committed pacifist as well as a socialist." Good luck.

Ben, it just occurred to me that my comment was a bit patronising. I guess I'm just an old fart with an attitude problem. Please forgive...
