Nothing in this blog can be believed. If you think that anything in this blog is true or factual, you'll need to verify it from another source. Do you understand? No? Then read it again, and repeat this process, until you understand that you cannot sue me for anything you read here. Also, having been sucked into taking part in the mass-murder of more than 3 million Vietnamese people on behalf of U.S. Big Business "interests", I'm as mad as a cut snake (and broke) so it might be a bit silly to try to sue me anyway...

of molotov cocktails and rifles...

Thanks to a comment by DS, here's part of a speech given by Martin Luther King Jr, on April 16, 1967:
As I have walked among the desperate, rejected and angry young men I have told them that Molotov cocktails and rifles would not solve their problems. I have tried to offer them my deepest compassion while maintaining my conviction that social change comes most meaningfully through nonviolent action. But they asked -- and rightly so -- what about Vietnam? They asked if our own nation wasn't using massive doses of violence to solve its problems, to bring about the changes it wanted. Their questions hit home, and I knew that I could never again raise my voice against the violence of the oppressed in the ghettos without having first spoken clearly to the greatest purveyor of violence in the world today -- my own government. For the sake of those boys, for the sake of this government, for the sake of hundreds of thousands trembling under our violence, I cannot be silent...

Pity I was too young and stupid back then to listen to what he was saying...

Then you're a good person, DS. The world needs good people right now. Lots and lots of them. Thank whatever for the three of us, eh? :-)

I've got the full audio (MP3) of MLK's "I have a dream" speech (16 minutes). I can send it to anyone who wants it by email. It's 7.4mb so you'll have to check that your email provider allows attachments of that size. I'll try to find a web site to put it up on if many people want it.

I've had troubles finding a (free) web site to put it up on, DS. Most have file size limits of 2mb, 5mb or less. The "online storage" web sites are bad too.

If you want to give us your email (mention here or send me an email, my address is available through my profile) I will try sending it to you that way, otherwise I will send it to Gerry, if he gives me the nod, and he can pass it on to you.

Cheers
